My career in class A surface development, now spanning over more than two decades, began
in southern California as a designer for the experimental aircraft company, Avtek Inc.
The following years were spent in the Detroit
area, expanding and refining computer generated surfacing techniques for
leading automotive suppliers, including Autodynamics, Delta Technologies,
Entech, and MSX International.
Next I was employed by Ford Motor Company at the Product
Design Center in Dearborn, Michigan, where for seven years I attained in-depth
exterior and
interior class A surfacing experience for concept
and production vehicles at the Lincoln, Mercury, and Ford Truck studios.
Currently I am a freelance class A surface
designer for the automotive and product design
industries utilizing ICEM-Surf and Catia V5. Recently completed programs
include such divers ventures as advanced concepts for John Deere tractors,
body design for Seamagine submarines, sleeper-cab development for next generation Peterbilt Trucks,
and complete seat surfaces for Toyota Avalon and Cadillac Alpha at Johnson
Controls.
